Woman transforms Ikea dresser drawers using DIY hack that's so simple anyone can do it

Ikea furniture is well-loved for its affordability and simplicity, but that also means many of the pieces are quite plain when it comes to colour and detail.

The upside is it doesn't take much to add your own flair to these pieces, as one stylish TikToker has proved.

Michelle, who goes by the handle @astoldbymichelle, took an Ikea Hemnes dresser drawer unit from white and boring, to fresh and fun with an easy DIY hack.

To get a floral look Michelle didn't use tools or even pick up a paint brush, she simply got some peel and stick wallpaper and added it to each of the drawers.

In addition to the wallpaper, Michelle also popped on some cute metallic handles.

The result is a super fast DIY that even the least crafty of us can achieve.

"Love it! I should do that. I have the same dresser, but the paint scratches so easily so this would definitely be an improvement," a woman commented.

"Such a great idea!" one said.

"Obsessed," posted another.

They especially loved the daisy print, which Michelle got from Urban Outfitters, but it's also available on Amazon.

"I got lucky with this one! I had to apply it sideways because of the longer drawers on the bottom, but the flowers still look normal thank goodness,' she said in the comments.

Removable wallpaper is fast becoming a popular DIY and renovation tool, especially with renters and people who don't want to make a permanent change to their homes and furniture.

Australian shoppers can find removable wallpaper at a range of retailers, including Kmart which sells several designs for $35 a roll.
